Unfortunately, the only thing this episode accomplished was further pushing Leo’s suspicions of Chris in his disappearance and allowing for some compromise between Piper and Leo regarding Wyatt.
To say that viewers were probably a little dissatisfied with this episode would be an understatement. The plot of the story was very scattered and the purpose of the blonde sister’s wanting the power of three was never clearly defined.
Granted, it was interesting to see all of the Halliwell’s friends and co-workers believe that the three blondes were the sisters, it just seemed so far fetched. The only great thing the writers did with this episode was to let Paige keep her orbing powers, and this was done largely so they didn’t write themselves into a corner.
Overall, the episode seemed disjointed and fractured with the lack of well thought out plot points and moments of advancement for the season.
This and That:
On the other hand, there were several small things that helped with the furthering of the season:
· Having the nanny be the elf from last season was great continuality.
· Good to see that Piper is having trouble dealing with Leo popping in and out of the manor.
· It is always enjoyable to see Eric Dane back as Jason Dean. Hopefully the writers will realize how great he and Phoebe are together.
· The whole premise of Paige being a temp and that magic is pointing her in a direction to help innocents is a great twist to the Charmed legacy.
· Leo being able to draw Chris out keeps furthering the story of Chris banishing Leo to the
Valkyries’ Island. This will probably he part of the series arch this season.
Sorry that this wasn’t more in-depth, but it is a reflection of the episode that this review isn’t longer.
Next Week:
Paige’s temp job put her in the middle of the Hatfield’s and McCoy’s or so it seems.
