Mojo in the Morning and crew interviewed Rose McGowan, Tuesday May 14, 2002. Mojo comments that Rose is very clean cut, pretty girl.

Mojo/Crew: We are very happy to have Rose McGowan on our show. Rose are you here with us?

Rose: Yes.

Mojo/Crew: You are fulfilling three people's dreams. 

Rose: Oh Oh.

Mojo/Crew: You got Sarah who's the big fan and watches the show all the time. 

Rose: Awesome!

Mojo/Crew: And you have Spike who thinks you're hot.

Rose: (laughs) Oh Ok! Thank You very Much!

Mojo/Crew: Sarah can do all the taking about the show and all that stuff.

Sarah: Power of Three, and whatnot.

Rose: So you do watch.

Mojo/Crew: So how are you doing? How are things going?

Rose: Things are awesome!

Sarah: Were you nervous when you stepped in after the long search after Shannen Doherty...?

Rose: No, I never thought about it... to tell you the truth. I should have, but it never occurred to me.

Mojo/Crew: Did you watch the show before...ah...when Shannen was on?

Rose: No. (Laughs)

Mojo/Crew: Did you know of it?

Rose: Yeah I did know of it. I had actually caught it a couple of times, like twenty minutes here and twenty minutes there. And I was actually surprised how good it was but I never...I watch like old movies on AMC and Turner, so it's pretty much my TV watching.  But I do watch it now!

Mojo/Crew: Yeah ah...do you get a lot of freaky fan mail like witchcraft since your success?

Rose: You know, since 9/11and the whole Anthrax thing, fan mail really has been cut back to just electronic stuff.

Mojo/Crew: Oh really? So its forwarded to you.

Rose: Yeah, so...we don't really...You should be like so flattered that someone should be sending Anthrax really...when you think about it but.....laughs

Mojo/Crew: Laughs. Shhh! Yeah when you think about it your a public figure.
Sarah: You were a movie star actress and I never thought you would go into a TV series, what turned you around?

Rose: Ahmm...Well, I actually figured if I didn't do it now, I would never be really able to do it. So, I think it's the best time for it. And things are really tense, people going back and forth, and up and down, and It really helps you to be on TV now. Instead of like the past were it could have hurt you. [Career] 

Mojo/Crew: I heard a lot of people say its harder to Television than it is to do a movie.

Rose: It's a lot harder. It kicks your butt! You don't have time for anything, but I'm also grateful for everything. Its very...really interesting year.

Mojo/Crew: Hey can I ask a question....Rose McGowan on with us right now. Do you like like when you get honored by Maxim magazine with the babe off, and ...is that flattering to you or do you sit there and think of all us perverted guys that are reading the magazine?

Rose: I try not to think of that. That creeps me out. (laughter in the background) I think everyone's smiling at me because they are very nice and they like me.

Everyone Laughs.

Spike: I found the weirdest fact online, and I know its online so there, I should already know it's true. Tell me if its true...You kinda grew up in a cult or something like that?

Rose: Well yeah, that is true.

Spike: It is true? What's the story with that?

Rose: Ahmm...hippy parents. 

Spike: Oh really. And they raised you like in a commune with a bunch of people and...

Rose: That's right.

Spike: How did you get out of it?

Rose: We ran away. Laughs. 

Sarah: Joined the circus...

Rose: What? That would have been fun actually. I do like elephants...but no.

Mojo/Crew: Do you keep in touch with family members?

Rose: Absolutely! I'm going back in June to see all of them and hang out with my brothers and sisters, who I love very much.

Mojo/Crew: Because...I guess with a family like that, I was going to ask the question do your family was bothered by the fact you were dating Marilyn Manson for so long a time. He was probably normal for them.

Rose: Yeah he's great gentlemanly. They pretty much like anyone I like so.

Mojo/Crew: Was he different than like he was on stage? Cause you know here in town right now he has a lot of legal problems. 

Rose: Yeah that does suck. 

Mojo/Crew: Right here in Detroit he's getting sued by the security guard for ruffing...

Rose: Yeah that's a silly charge, I have to say. 

Mojo/Crew: Can you see him do it...or something like that?

Rose: No, I think people look for reasons to sue people, that are famous. 

Mojo/Crew: Especially when they're a millionaire.

Rose: Yeah, you get into a car accident, it's like five miles an hour but somebody shows up and they broke their back. So, there's a lot of problems you have to deal with when your recognizable. It's part of the course...but it does suck.

Mojo/Crew: Was it hard you and Marilyn when you were dating, to like just go to Target (retail store) to buy some socks?

Rose: Yeah, he always wanted to go shopping and I wouldn't allow him to.

Mojo/Crew: Laughs. Oh Really?

Rose: It's a pain in the butt.

Mojo/Crew: Cause he could never do it without being bothered.

Rose: Exactly.

Mojo/Crew: What about now, is it hard for you to go out? Do you like to lead a normal life or your the kind that doesn't like to go out?

Rose: Ahm...I don't like to go out that much but I do like to go to weird places now and again. And I don't ever really thing about it, I just kinda go putt around my daily business. People in LA are pretty cool about that stuff.

Mojo/Crew: What are your latest crazes that you are into right now?

Rose: Diet Sunkist. I'm a pest of it...I go to the market about every two days. (Laughs) I get attached to weird things and use them over and over until I don't want to see them again. So that's pretty much the current thing.

Sarah: Mojo is obsessed with that diet coke lemon twist. 
Mojo: On my god!

Rose: You like that? I haven't tried that. I've been a little nervous.

Mojo: It's so great!

Rose: Really? You know when you mess with diet coke it never comes out good.

Mojo: No, it's so good. I know anytime they ever mess with any thing coke that...

Rose: You're like ahh, that's not so good.

Mojo: Right.

Rose: You decide that today, but if it replaces my diet Sunkist I'm gonna have to come kick your butt. (Laughs)

Mojo: I'll send you a cases of it.

Rose: That sounds good to me!

Mojo: Alright, what's going to happen on "Charmed"? Rose is on with us right now...Big season finale?

Rose: Lots of action, lots of drama...I try to convince Alyssa that there's a Source of all Evil...all that stuff, and we wear hot clothes. (Laughter)

Sarah: The first part was for me the second for the guys. Her husband is evil... for who needs to know.
Mojo: Do you and Alyssa get along really well?

Rose: Yes. She's a sweetheart.

Mojo: There's no problems with the two beautiful Divas on the set?

Rose: You know I think the term Diva would be mistakenly applied there.

Mojo: Yeah that was the old cast member. (All laughs)

Rose: You know its good to be a worker...much worker, I need a job.

Sarah: That term should be applied to the guy who does play Alyssa Milano's evil husband. I saw an interview with you guys....

Rose: (breaks in) He is the most Divaish of all! (laughs) 

Sarah: You're totally making fun of him...

Rose: He takes more time doing his hair...getting...it's just hysterical. Male actors are often like that, but its so stupid. I swear to god....it is so funny.

Mojo: Well, Rose it's so good to have you on. We'll watch 'Charmed' on the WB. Thank you so much for going on with us.

Rose: I'm excited that I could. Thanks guys.

Mojo: Seriously. If you'd like to call us back I'll make sure Coke will send you a ton of it, ok? (referring to a comment earlier)

Rose: (laughs)  Ok.

Mojo: You don't have to go shopping for it. Take care of yourself.

Rose: Bye guys.

Mojo: Bye.
